FIRSTGREEN took part in Drone Shield 2026 in Lipník nad Bečvou, where the Czech Army brought together different unmanned ground platforms for practical testing and evaluation.
For FIRSTGREEN, the event marked an important step in the development of our own UGV platform. It was a chance to move beyond technical specifications and test the prototype in demanding real-world conditions.
From prototype to field testing
FIRSTGREEN presented two platforms during the event.
The smaller platform was introduced to participants, while the larger prototype went directly onto the test course.
Over the course of the testing, the platform tackled mud, tracks, stairs, craters, inclined turns, water crossings and other obstacles. The latest large wheel configuration showed a significant improvement in mobility.
The Czech Army also highlighted several strengths of the platform, particularly its simplicity, functionality and proven chassis.
Valuable feedback for the next stage
Drone Shield was designed to help the Czech Army understand the capabilities of different unmanned ground systems and identify areas where they could bring real operational value.
For FIRSTGREEN, the event provided valuable feedback for further development.
One of the most promising directions identified so far is logistics and supply, where unmanned ground platforms could support the transport of material and reduce the need for personnel to enter demanding environments.
Further testing will focus on areas such as payload, mobility under load and the specific applications where the platform can deliver the greatest benefit.
Drone Shield 2026 was the first major field test of the FIRSTGREEN UGV prototype.
The platform passed an important milestone. Now the next stage of development begins.
